Maybe 10%, maybe 20%..........it's really hard say without knowing what brands of windows you are comparing. I've seen a few triple pane windows that are rated twice as good as what Energy Star requires. It's really impossible to quote potential savings without a bunch of data. Watch out for salespeople that push BS 30%-50% savings promises, most are backed by shady small print. |

| How thick is a pane of glass that it in a triple pane window? Is it any different in thickness than say a double pane window? |

You can order single or double strength glass in both single and double pane windows. Generally thicker glass is used when larger windows are ordered. |

| How much more expensive are these windows compared to double pane? I've never seen a diagram like you posted above, these could really pay for themselves. |

Standard thickness for replacement window glass is 1/8" |
