We're having a small new house built this spring. They are actually digging the whole right now. Their giving me a budget to spend on my windows. My question is before I go and show, do you prefer the grids in the windows or not and is their a price difference?

When we had our home built a few years back the builder gave us that option at no additional cost. So they may or may not cost more. If they do, it wouldn't be that expensive. They are kind of nice to have though IMO.

Thanks Richard for the reply, I'll have to ask my builders and see. Maybe they know what my best choices would be and give me some insite. Thanks Again!

I've always been a fan of the clean cut windows. I don't really like the grilles in the window, but some people just do. It all depends on what you like. I would recommend you see them in person before you make any final derisions.

We got window grids with our windows when we built our home. Our contractor didn't charge us anymore for them. He simply asked us if we wanted them or not and it won't make a price difference, but we knew the guy. So if they do cost extra, it can't be that much.

I actually enjoy seeing them on houses when I drive through town. To me they give the house more of a classic look which is something that is very important to me. We might have these put onto our new windows.
