We're looking to get these for our new house since our builder recommended them. He said their a lot thicker than traditional windows and near impossible to brake into. Are they that much more expensive?

Thanks!

These are very nice to have and they do look great! We have the blocks in our basement windows. towards the center of the block, we have a very small window that can be opened incase we need additional light/air in the basement. It's a really nice feature. I'm not sure how much they cost since we bought our house used. These are definitely worth looking into!

Hope all goes well,

I'm really going to have to check up on them. The idea of a single small window opening up inside the blocks sounds pretty nice! Thanks a lot for the post Smile

The price really depends on the material used and the local labor cost. In the northeast the prices are generally higher due to a smaller skilled labor pool and not much product demand. In the south glass block is a more common material with more skilled installers, hence a lower price.

We love our block windows. They make our home look 1000X times better. I would highly recommend them if they are within your budget.
