Currently most alarms are only on the lower sash so you can break in the upper sash. Alarms that detect glass breakage or strong vibrations are generally only used in commercial buildings. In theory you could break a window and hold a magnet next to alarm to by-pass it. |

That's an interesting fact... not that I would need to do break into a window or anything. I just have always thought of alarms as being foolproof. |
