We want something that we can pretty much install and forget about. But we also want one that will be more energy efficient even if we have to spend a little more per window.
Thanks! |

| Are you replacing all the windows in your home or just a few? There are a lot of things to consider really. What's your price range if you don't mind me asking? |

| We went with wood frames for our new replacement windows. Simply because they really matched our other wood trim in our how. They should look real nice once they get installed here in a few days or so. |

I've always loved the look of wood frames b/c the vinyl looks cheap. However, vinyl ones are much easier to keep clean, too. It's all just a personal preference thing. Good luck on your choice |

| Did you make any final decisions yet on which ones you would like? It is really just your personal preference. What one person likes another person doesn't and vise versa. |

| We just had new vinyl windows put into our home. They look great, but the downside is that they don't lock that easy and smooth as some of the wooden ones that we have tried. |

| I've always chose vinyl over wood because it's easier to clean. You will have a little more upkeep when it comes to wood window frames. |

The main question is how much are you going to spend?

| My decision was to purchase double-pane replacement windows with fiberglass frames for my home. They are more durable, last longer, have "r" values that are comparable to vinyl, and can be painted, if desired. That said, they are also more expensive than vinyl, but I would rather pay more for a longer-lasting product. In general, it is still true that you get what you pay for. |
