We've had different home improvement projects done over the past few years and we can never figure out how much insurance the contractors need.

Generally $500,000- $1,000,000 is fine for window companies. |

| I also have a question regarding this topic. Should I somehow get proof of their insurance just incase something happens? |

Yes, that is a great idea. I generally provide my clients with a copy of my insurance. If needed I can have my insurance company send them a copy with their name on it. There are some shady people out there that make up their own policies (forged). |

I'll make sure I do that. I'm just trying to cover all of my bases before they start replacing my windows. It's been tough trying to decide on the company and all there windows options. I'm sure I will make the right decision when all said and done. |

Great tip! I'll be sure to get proof of my contractors insurance before they actually start replacing some of my windows. This could save a lot of headaches down the road. |

That's something great to offer your customers. You don't see to many people going out of there way like that for others now a days |
