Help Needed ASAP! Hello, We're having a house built. They have the entire frame up, roof on, windows/doors installed, etc. They just have the interior to finish up. They don't have any trim on at the moment. My builder ordered white vinyl windows and they are installed. However, we told him we are doing everything in a oak trim. (Cabinets, baseboard, etc) The vinyl windows are just fine. But will he still be able to put an oak type frame that the window will sit in or will he have to go with the white paint look? It's really a personal preference type thing. I actually met with my contract today and he said the same thing. Around the windows, doors, cabinets, etc will all have the same kind of wood! They should be able to do whatever you want when building a new house. Some of the stuff might cost a little extra though depending on the contractor.
