Hello, my name is Kim I just found this place. It looks like I have a bunch of reading to do about windows since we want some before it gets to cold. The snow today prompted us to began looking around. Last winter we used the plastic film over our windows and it was still cold.  |

Welcome to the forum. I am in the process of getting a collection of door companies from around the nation to sign up for a free estimate program. While it is still in the early stages, I would like to be able to provide homeowners with a list of local pre-screened window companies. Hopefully we will be able to connect you with a good local company!
I feel your pain about the window film, while it stops most of the wind it does not prevent the heat loss or cold air transfer.

| I signed up yesterday but I think I miss spelled my e-mail, it would not let me sign in. My daughter was talking to the guy that owns this site and wanted me to check it out. I try to look around some over the holiday weekend. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. |

We were searching on Google for window forums and found this site. We are looking to replace our windows some time next year when we recover from some of our other home improvements.

In fact, I’m always eager to learn new techniques and ideas and love to absorb information. In return feel free to pick my brain.
