Hi again,

Sorry for the bother, I just posted in another area, but I have so many questions,

I was asking in the other thread about replacing my window to a bay window,

Anyhow - can you recommend some good brands that I should go with and why they are good .

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I get my moneys worth Smile

The brands would depend on where you live. Some of the top ranking windows are only sold in certain areas of the country. Some times in order to get your money's worth you will need to focus on the better rated windows. Windows with low U-factors (lower #=better rating) will save you money on both your heating and cooling bills. These types of windows are generally sold to good dealers and not just to "any dude with a pickup truck".

Hello

Oh I see, Now my concern is that my town maybe to small.

I am from upstate NY and we have a lot of "dudes with pick up trucks", we do however have a lot of bigger companies as well,

By any chance do you know what companies happen to serve my area?

Bu companies I mean window , like the people that make them, not actual installer , although I guess I will have to look for one of those soon as well.

Thanks in advance

Your best bet is to deal with a window company that sells and installs windows. This way you will save any finger pointing if you have issues with your new windows. If you fill out the estimate form I will have a local window company contact you about your project.

That is good advice. I always ask a local hardware store or friends if they can recommend someone. I do not mind dealing with the "little guys" but I want to know that I am getting a good worker.

It just depends on what you are looking for. Just keep in mind when looking for reviews, their isn't a single company on the market that will have a 100% positive review. The larger the company the more negative reviews it will have simply because it sells a lot more windows.

Your best bet would be to look up local companies in your phone book. Our town is very small as well, but we have a lot of larger towns less than 15 minutes away.

Try finding a window that you like. Then find installers that install that window in your area. i.e. if you liked Alside windows, you could go to their site and search contractors in your area.
