Hi again, Sorry for the bother, I just posted in another area, but I have so many questions, I was asking in the other thread about replacing my window to a bay window, Anyhow - can you recommend some good brands that I should go with and why they are good . Some times in order to get your money's worth you will need to focus on the better rated windows. Windows with low U-factors (lower #=better rating) will save you money on both your heating and cooling bills. These types of windows are generally sold to good dealers and not just to "any dude with a pickup truck". I am from upstate NY and we have a lot of "dudes with pick up trucks", we do however have a lot of bigger companies as well, By any chance do you know what companies happen to serve my area? Bu companies I mean window , like the people that make them, not actual installer , although I guess I will have to look for one of those soon as well. Thanks in advance Your best bet is to deal with a window company that sells and installs windows. This way you will save any finger pointing if you have issues with your new windows. If you fill out the estimate form I will have a local window company contact you about your project. Just keep in mind when looking for reviews, their isn't a single company on the market that will have a 100% positive review. The larger the company the more negative reviews it will have simply because it sells a lot more windows. Then find installers that install that window in your area. i.e. if you liked Alside windows, you could go to their site and search contractors in your area.
