This is a copy paste of my response to someone with the same question a couple of days ago:

Without even checking to see if I can have one made up that small I can tell you that you will not be happy if I can. The garden windows have a bulky frame in order to support the glass and plants. The same size frame is used regardless if it is for a very small window or a very large window. The end result is that you will see more frame than glass.

A couple of solutions:

1. We can reframe your opening to fit a larger garden window.

2. We can install a hopper style window.

Mokachu, I would really think about changing your opening size so you are happy with the end product.

Not a great picture of a hopper window but: http://www.replacementwindowpros.com/articles-reviews/replacement-basement-hopper-windows.html

Any chance that you can give up a cabinet for a larger garden window?

If not I'll check to see if one can be made in your size if you promise to e-mail me picture once the job is done.

So is a hopper window basicly a window that butts out of a large sill?
I could live with something like that. The garden window was my idea of getting a little more space in a small dark area. it looks like the hopper would give me almost the same results. I cant give up the cabinet the kitchen is small enough and this is the only wall. How easy is this kind of thing to install? Does the frame include the large box (sill ) around it or do I have to build it?

The hopper window will have a 3.25" wide frame and you would run wood jambs back to meet your interior walls. The hopper window tilts in from the top. Another option would be an awning window that cranks out from the bottom. Both of these would let in plenty of light and fresh air if you open them during the summer.

You should look into hiring a skilled window installer for your project since you will need to create openings for the windows and they will require headers (the beams that prevent your house from falling down).
