We have a slide window door (24inx74in). It is double glass.

Two days ago in the morning the glass was fine. We left for a daytrip.

In the evening when we came home the inner glass towards the living room was broken all over. I couldnīt recognize a spot where an impact acted on. The glass is still remaining in the frame. It is evenly broken all over in small pieces, more or less a square inch with different shape each.
The outer glass part towards the yard is ok.

What could be a reason that a glass brakes without somebody being home (no pets).

Thanks for thoughts.
