I found this recipe on the internet for homemade glass cleaner:

Use 2 tablespoons ammonia, 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol, and 1/4 teaspoon dishwashing detergent.

Add all ingredients to a small spray bottle, then fill the bottle with water and shake well. You can substitute 3 tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice for the ammonia.

Use as you would any commercial window cleaner.

I have not tried it, but it seems like it would be as good as windex or some other store purchased brand.

Has anyone tried any of this homemade glass cleaner? I didn't know that it would be so simple to make. However, wouldn't it be cheaper to purchase the already made product at the store instead of purchasing all the products separate and combining them? Non-the-less, I'm still going to give this a whirl. Thanks for the post Smile
